Pulse energy management software helps buildings reduce their energy use by up to 25% by improving operational efficiencies.
We’ve teamed up with a number of organizations who are committed to making a difference during Earth Hour and are keen to show what that means in energy savings, including Vancouver City Hall - home of the newly minted "Greenest City Action Team", Grouse Mountain where this year-round resort is well on its way to being the greenest mountain resort in North America by 2010, and Harbour Centre in Downtown Vancouver.

				Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson, co-founder of the Happy Planet juice company, is bringing his green energy philosophy to the City of Vancouver. The newly formed "Greenest City Action Team" has a commitment to make Vancouver just that - the greenest city. City Hall went dark for Earth Hour. Pulse Energy and ESC Automation were there to monitor it and saw the following savings:
Savings compared to last Saturday over Earth Hour:
					Savings =                24.3 kWh
					% Reduction                7.92%
					Distance on a skytrain =                 10.1    km

					Savings if everyone in Canada reduced their electricity consumption by this percentage for an hour each day for a year:
					Savings =                 1,750,000,000    kWh
					Distance on a skytrain =                 726,000,000    km
					GHG =                 147,000    tonnes

					Savings if everyone in the World reduced their electricity consumption by this percentage for an hour each day for a year:
					Savings =                 57,700,000,000    kWh
					Distance on a skytrain =                 23,900,000,000    km
					GHG =                 4,850,000    tonnes

Pulse Energy Management Software communicates with a large number of building automation and metering systems to collect, archive, analyze and communicate energy information. The system helps building owners and operators quickly identify and resolve inefficient energy use, helps occupants learn how their buildings perform and ultimately helps save money and reduce emissions.
