Pulse Energy has partnered with a number of organizations who have committed to making a difference during Earth Hour. These partners include the City of Vancouver, which has recently launched a major green initiative under Mayor Gregor Robertson, Grouse Mountain Resort, well on its way to being the greenest mountain resort in North America, and the University of British Columbia, consistently recognized as one of the 10 greenest university campuses in North America.

City of Vancouver

Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson, co-founder of the Happy Planet juice company, is bringing his green energy philosophy to the City of Vancouver. The newly formed "Greenest City Action Team" has a commitment to make Vancouver just that - the greenest city. City Hall will go dark at 8:30 March 28th and Pulse Energy and ESC Automation will be there to monitor it.

Grouse Mountain Resort

Grouse Mountain Resort is well on its way to being the greenest mountain resort in North America by 2010, thanks to a combination of energy efficiency and renewable energy projects, along with a well-developed waste-reduction strategy.

The chalet and theatre at Grouse Mountain will turn down the lights at 8:30pm on March 28th.

Harbour Center

The Vancouver Lookout tops Harbour Centre, a towering complex that is home to 28 floors of offices, the downtown campus of Simon Fraser University, shops, a food fair and liquor store, and the Top of Vancouver Revolving Restaurant.

The Harbour Centre Management and Operations team is enthusiastic about reducing its annual energy bill and passing this value on to their tenants. Track their savings here during Earth Hour when they go dark at 8:30pm on March 28th.
